Anyhow. I have something to warn some of you. Last week I promised myself that I was not going to talk about iPhone again .. well, not for awhile anyhow.

But since my iPhone post .. a lot of my friends went out and gave their wallet to Mr.Steve Jobs. I’m happy for you with your shiny new phone. Good move it was too.

Why?

Two days ago (Roughly around Thursday September 27, 2007 02:01 PM EST) Apple dropped new firmware for iPhone. Version 1.1.1(or should I call it F.T.C = Fuck The Consumer version?): Sure it’s improved alot and added lots of new features, I’ll give you examples of some of my fav:

- iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store
- Louder speakerphone and receiver volume
- Home Button double-click shortcut to phone favorites or music controls
- Space bar double-tap shortcut to intelligently insert period and space
- Mail attachments are viewable in portrait and landscape
- Support for TV Out
- Preference to turn off EDGE/GPRS when roaming internationally

… and more that I dun give a F* with.

After reading that, don’t think “wow” and jump on the Titanic now will you. Coz for you all with unlocked iPhone .. it will lock it back or turn your phone into a very expensive paper weight. Your cool little 3rd party applications that you show off to all of your friends in the past will go “David Blaine” on you .. and no you can’t install them back on or unlock your phone again.(No jailbreak or activation neither)

That’s why I said .. “good move” to begin with. Because from now on .. no one can unlock it .. not until good people at DEV team come up with something.

SO if you have an unlocked iPhone, DON’T … I repeat DO NOT update your firmware. It will ask you when you connect it to iTunes .. just click NO!! uh uh, non!! You can still sync it and load songs and ish, just don’t update. Not yet.

That’s off my head now, lets move on …

.. actually one more thing. You might notice that I have not post much about fashion, kicks and toys .. well, because seriously .. everything seems to be very sucky right now. Nothing of my interest or anything that I really want. So yeah .. understand that I dun want to post any god damn thing that are coming out right now .. coz it’ll just waste my space and waste your time.

It’s that time of the year again … it’s TV time!!

Yes yes, time for every damn TV series are coming out and returning. Anything and everything is coming out this week .. all of them.

HEROES Season 2 Episode 1, started yesterday. Little preview HERE

Now .. while I’m still waiting for Heroes Season2 Episode1 to hit torrent sites, you can now download Prison Break Season3 Episode1 via torrents, but if you don’t know what a torrent is then you can get it free on iTunes. Same as Grey’s Anatomy and Gossip Girl .. you can get that free on iTunes too. Just search for it.

iTunes gives out 1st episode of any new TV show free most of the time, but from then on you’ll need to pay for them (that’s when torrents step in, free).

I mentioned only 3 shows, but to be truely honest .. there are about 10 new TV shows that I have to take a bite at.

So, here comes sleepless nights and time for me to switch to bandwidth whore. -_-’ Burn the lineeee!!!!

Everyone around me are sick, including hun. Weather is very poop so please take care of your health. For most of us, we are too busy taking care of everything else around us that we forget to take care of ourselfs. Hello.

So it’s been couple of days with that thing that “i” thing on the last post (dun wanna say the word hehe). I’ve recieved so many questions from so many people. So I’m here to iAnswers.

Here’s the deal ..

- Cheapest way to get one: Get someone you know in US to buy you one. Bring it back to you if possible, if not then send it .. will cost and you know it. Don’t … I repeat DON’T get it from MBK … it’s a rip off!! Unless you have more money than brain, then go ahead.

- So there’re 2 ways of unlocking it, well .. 3 actually: Software unlock is free if you know how. Hardware unlock is free if you know how .. or 1500-2000 bath to get someone to do it for you in MBK (They will open your phone up and most likely scratch it). And when I said .. “3 actually” I mean .. you can buy the damn phone already unlocked (Software or hardware .. you choose) from MBK for $$$$$$$$$$.

- Now .. what’s the difference between software and hardware. First thing first .. Software unlock does not involve opening up your phone but Hardware is the oppersite and will be much pain in the ass to undo it. With software .. you can just reset it.

- Secondly .. both software and hardware unlock gives the same result. All function will work, ipod, wifi, and all that .. but not YouTube. You will need a different hack to get YouTube to work. Then again you can do it yourself or get someone to do it for you. Very easy.

- Then last but not least. The calls. A little complicated .. so concentrate. After I’ve been testing the phone for the last 2 days, if you are on AIS network .. incoming and outgoing calls no probs, but if you are way outside BKK .. you will most likely just be able to call out but can not recieve incoming calls. With DTAC and TRUE .. you will be ok with incoming and outgoing calls anywhere in Thailand.

- Why? Well, as some of you might already know .. AIS have 2 frequencies, 1800 and 900. AIS mostly use 1800 within BKK but 900 everywhere else. And because of both unlocking method only unlocks 1800 .. that bring little problems with 900 (outside BKK).

- With all that said and done .. I have to say that I am still testing it.

- Ahhh crap … you might say. Well, you can’t have them all. Win some loose some. If you want to go on the iPhone boat now, you have to live with it, but you’ll get there first. Or you can wait to get on it when the boat is safe but get there when everyone else’s already there then .. the decision is yours.

Wait or not wait is the question. For me .. I’m already on it .. and I’m loving it.

Relax. It’s only a phone (and ipod and web surfing device and YouTube and camera and photo album and games ….. list goes on hehe)

If you read all that I wrote .. then you must really really be wanting one ..

I’ll make it simple for you. If you are geeky and very tech-know-how .. then get one now, coz you will learn how to keep up to date with unlocking and stuff. But if you don’t think you can handle sitting infont of a computer for hours unlocking it then WAIT to get the official one. You see .. even if you have more money than brain, you can go buy an unlocked one now .. but will have problem putting all the songs, photos, movies etc etc etc. because you might mess it up and locked it again. Also when apple decide to update the software in the future .. then you have to keep going back to MBK and unlock your phone again and again and again.
